Q. What Happens In The First Session?
A...It is important that you feel you can connect and talk with the counsellor you choose. The first session is an opportunity to meet and talk through some of your reasons for seeking counselling and for you to have an opportunity to ask as many questions as you wish from your counsellor to help ensure you feel you are making the appropriate choice. This time also gives an opportunity to talk through the practicalities of counselling should you choose to continue such as fees and times.
Q...How Many Sessions Will i Need To Have ?
A...At the end of the first session we would agree a weekly day and time that's convenient for you, for individuals working shifts we can offer a different time week by week. Inner-Self Counsellors usually offer open-ended counselling which means you choose to come for as long as you find the counselling useful and helpful. The time and day you agree will be kept for you for as long as you wish to keep it. Some people prefer to work towards a fixed time scale of 6-12 sessions and we are flexible if you find this a useful and helpful way of working.
